Ironman 70.3 Ohio 2027

Guida indipendente, non affiliata all'organizzatore.

Swim1.9 km

What the course asks

Acclimatarsi nelle settimane prima e pianificare idratazione e raffreddamento.
Potenza costante in pianoBici senza salite vere: serve tenere watt costanti in aero per 90 km senza pause. Allenare blocchi lunghi a ritmo gara.
Negative split consigliato.

Frequently asked questionsanswers with sources

Dove conviene dormire? A Sandusky, con alloggi a prezzi contenuti, oppure a Port Clinton (~15 minuti), scelta usata da molti atleti.

Preparation tips

What to do from today to race day

Raffreddamento in corsa

Bici in ordine

Wheels for this course

A rule of thumb from this course: 2.8 m of climbing per km and low wind exposure. It is guidance, not a count. (flat)

Front wheel
60-80 mm deep

Rear wheel
Disc, or a deep wheel (60-80 mm) if you prefer

Tyres
28-30 mm, tubeless if possible. Choose pressure by weight and road surface, not by habit.

Check the weather and the wind forecast on race week: on windy days, drop a depth step on the front wheel.
