Swim1.9 km

  • Dislivello ufficiale 928 m (3.045 ft); altre misurazioni tra 826 e 1.128 m. Rollers continui, nessuna salita importante; pendenza max rilevata 7,3%.
  • Ristori circa ogni 25 km: acqua, elettroliti, gel Maurten 100, banane. In annate piovose strade molto bagnate: occhio alle curve.

Run21.1 km

What the course asks

Preparation tips

What to do from today to race day

Nutrizione autonoma in bici

Zona cambio unica

Transizione nel parco a Elk Lake / Hamsterley Beach (Brookleigh Rd, Victoria BC). Niente transition bags: materiale accanto alla bici. Apertura race morning 4:30-6:00.

Parcheggio e navette

Nessun parcheggio evento a Hamsterley Beach: parcheggio dedicato a Beaver Beach con shuttle Park n Ride. A Hamsterley solo drop-off bici. Nel 2026 navette venerdì 11:30-18:30, sabato 8:30-16:30, domenica 4:00-17:45.

Come arrivare

Transizione affollata

Nel 2024 bici molto ravvicinate in zona cambio: arriva presto e organizza uno spazio compatto.

Wheels for this course

A rule of thumb from this course: 10.3 m of climbing per km and low wind exposure. It is guidance, not a count. (hilly)

Front wheel
40-60 mm deep

Rear wheel
50-60 mm. Use a disc only if the descents are not technical and the weather is stable

Tyres
28-30 mm, tubeless if possible. Choose pressure by weight and road surface, not by habit.

Check the weather and the wind forecast on race week: on windy days, drop a depth step on the front wheel.
