Ironman California 2027

The organiser publishes the final course in spring: this page updates.

Swim3.8 km

Muta integrale consigliata; gara wetsuit-legal.

Bike180 km · 104 m D+

  • Due giri piatti da 180 km totali: dato ufficiale 340 ft (~104 m), altre fonti citano ~213-250 m. In ogni caso molto piatto.
Consigliati cerchi profilati (80 mm+) o lenticolare.

Run42.2 km

What the course asks

Frequently asked questionsanswers with sources

Misto: ghiaia a West Sacramento, sterrato liscio, ciottoli a Old Town, un ponte metallico e cemento a Midtown.

Preparation tips

What to do from today to race day

Dichiarati onesto in partenza

Navette post-gara

Shuttle tra finish (Campidoglio) e zona cambio dalle 10:00. Prevedi tratti a piedi: segnalate transizioni lunghe e corse a piedi nudi.

Dove dormire

Midtown (fascia alta, vicino al finish), West Sacramento (vicino al race site), Folsom (~30 min, economico).

Wheels for this course

A rule of thumb from this course: 0.6 m of climbing per km and moderate wind exposure. It is guidance, not a count. (flat)

Front wheel
50-65 mm deep

Rear wheel
Disc, or a deep wheel (60-80 mm) if you prefer

Tyres
28-30 mm, tubeless if possible. Choose pressure by weight and road surface, not by habit.

Check the weather and the wind forecast on race week: on windy days, drop a depth step on the front wheel.
